The Ukrainian national team won 5 medals (gold, 3 silver, and bronze) at the World Kayak and Canoeing Championships among juniors and youth, which took place in the Portuguese town of Montemor-u-Velho.

Dmytro Danylenko, Vitaliy Bystrevsky, Vasyl Smilka, Oleksandr Zaitsev won the highest grade award in the 500-meter kayak four among participants under the age of 23.
Ksenia Romanchuk, Iryna Fedoriv, ??Khrystyna Osipchuk, Tetyana Smilovenko won silver in the 500 m canoe four. Daniil Platash won a silver medal in the single kayak 200 m, and Ksenia Romanchuk and Tetyana Smilovenko won silver in the 500 m canoe double.
Andriy Shkarneha and Valery Teret added a bronze medal to the treasury of the “yellow-blue” in the 500 m mixed canoe among U-23.
