Spring-Summer 2022 Fashion Week kicked off in New York. In the early days, Proenza Schouler had already shown their collections, on the catwalk of which Gigi Hadid and the stepdaughter of US Vice President Kamala Harris Ella Ehoff, Michelle Obama’s favorite Prabal Gurung, and Pantone presented the color palette of the next season.
We are delighted with the Collina Strada collection. The brand’s show took place on the rooftop of a New York skyscraper, and the space was decorated with cabbage, carrots, and other vegetables. The collection itself was dedicated to nature.
Special attention should be paid to the models’ makeup, which was inspired by a hot summer day in a fairy garden. Makeup artist Ellie Smith worked on it.
She sprinkled iridescent glitter and pigments of green, gold, orange, yellow, and blue on the models’ ears (and fingertips). The makeup artist wanted to achieve the effect of fabulous elven dust and abstract expressionism.
Smith mixed MAC pigments and eyeshadow with a creamy base and applied it all over the lobes and circumference of the ears.
Of course, most of us do not highlight our ears with makeup, limiting ourselves only to earrings or kafas, but designers go out of their way to create something new and unusual. Let’s see if the new trend will take root or will remain just the imagination of creatives.
