The United States is concerned about the resignation of independent members of the supervisory board of the Ukrainian energy company Naftogaz, calling on the government to solve the problem positively.

That’s according to Ned Price, a State Department spokesman, who spoke at a briefing on Thursday, September 9.
“We are deeply concerned about the ongoing leadership crisis at Naftogaz, including the September 8 resignations of Naftogaz’s independent board members,” the official said.
The spokesperson emphasized US support for efforts to find a solution that “is in line with the principles of governance in the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development and will provide sound governance at Naftogaz.”
In this regard, Ned Price said that the United States encouraged these efforts to “move forward with haste,” especially in light of the continuing Russian aggression and occupation.
“We welcome the active participation of the Ukrainian government to positively resolve this issue,” Price noted.
