Although Ukrainians are already free to enter Europe with a COVID-certificate in the “Action” application, to travel to Egypt, even after vaccination against coronavirus, you will have to take the PCR test “in the old way”.

Tourist experts claim that local border guards do not recognize either paper or electronic documents issued in Ukraine.
According to Egyptian law, when crossing the border, tourists must provide either a printed vaccination document (with a QR code) or a negative PCR test result.
But the problem is that on paper COVID-certificates of the Ukrainian sample there is no QR-code, and the code in “Action” is not read by devices of frontier guards.
“Currently, Egypt only accepts certificates that are issued in printed form with signatures and seals and with a mandatory QR-code. As Ukrainian-style certificates do not have a QR-code, tourists must enter the PCR test for coronavirus to enter Egypt.”, – stated about it in the Egyptian embassy in Ukraine.
The diplomats stressed that “the QR-code in the electronic application” Action “currently cannot be used to enter the territory of Egypt.”
Against this background, travelers are advised to do a PCR test no earlier than 72 hours before the planned trip, regardless of whether they were vaccinated or not.
The country has eased coronavirus restrictions since July, allowing theaters, concert halls, amusement parks, casinos, nightclubs, and discos.
