On Peremohy Avenue in Lutsk in the evening on Friday, September 17, there was an accident involving Lutsk City Council deputy, director of the social policy department Victoria Mayboroda, who was going live on the Avers TV channel.

One of the cars was leaving the side street on the avenue, the other was turning into a narrow lane connecting two avenues – Victory and Hrushevsky. The driver of the latter did not take into account the slippery road, because it rained in Lutsk in the evening, in addition, he obviously did not choose a safe speed. Then – a side collision. Fortunately, insignificant, and the drivers remained unharmed.
“It is very difficult to drive because many drivers do not follow the speed limit. I think that 50 kilometers per hour are a normal speed for the city, because today, unfortunately, there are many injured pedestrians. I’m not talking about accidents that happen without their participation. “That’s how it is today. If this driver kept up the speed and drove thoughtfully, this would not have happened,” said Victoria Mayboroda.
The perpetrator declined to comment.
The police worked at the scene of the accident. The injured driver did not agree to the European protocol, so the patrol drew up a report on the accident. However, the perpetrator of the accident later agreed to reimburse the damages.
