Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan in the capital, New Delhi, on Monday to discuss various aspects of cooperation.

Prince Faisal conveyed the greetings of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Modi, the government, and the people of India.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the meeting reviewed “the strong and historical Saudi-Indian relations, and their strengthening to achieve the aspirations and hopes of the two peoples for further progress and prosperity.”
The two sides also discussed regional and international issues and ways to enhance international peace and security.
Modi praised the Kingdom’s leading role in protecting the planet, especially through the green initiatives of the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East that were announced in March.
They also held discussions on ways to enhance the economic partnership between the two countries in light of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and ways to intensify bilateral cooperation.
Prince Faisal also participated, during his visit, in a dialogue session with a group of researchers and thinkers at the Observer Research Foundation and its president, Sanjoy Joshi.
The discussion touched on several axes, including the Kingdom’s green initiatives, the leading role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and India in the Group of Twenty, and joint coordination to promote international peace and security.
The discussion also addressed the rapid developments in Saudi Arabia emanating from its Vision 2030, including renewable energy projects and investment in technology.
