Ukraine’s gross domestic product in the second quarter of 2021 compared to the same period last year increased by 5.7% year on year.

This was announced by the State Statistics Service on its official website, which in mid-August preliminarily estimated economic growth in the second quarter of this year at 5.4%.
According to published data, compared to the previous quarter, GDP decreased (seasonally adjusted) by 0.7%, which is 0.1 percentage points better than the previous estimate of a decline of 0.8%.
GDP: what you need to know
GDP is a macroeconomic indicator that reflects the market value of all final goods and services (ie intended for direct consumption, use, or application) produced per year in all sectors of the economy in the country for consumption, export, and accumulation regardless of the nationality of the factors used production.
According to the State Statistics Service, the gross domestic product of Ukraine in the first quarter of 2021 decreased by 2.2% in annual terms.
According to the State Statistics Service, Ukraine’s GDP in the second quarter of 2021 increased by 5.4% compared to the same period last year.
The National Bank downgraded its estimate of GDP growth in the second quarter of this year to 7.5% from 8.7% in the April forecast.
Earlier, the National Bank left the forecast of real GDP growth unchanged – at about 4% in 2021-2023.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the gross domestic product of Ukraine in January-July 2021 increased by 2.1%.
