The Austrian authorities, where they want to lift quarantine restrictions, plan to hold the 2021-2022 ski season. However, it will take place with some restrictions.

“This year, winter holidays (at ski resorts – ed.) Will definitely be,” – said Tourism Minister Elizabeth Kestringer.
At the same time, she pointed out that for people who have undergone a full course of vaccination and those who have fallen ill with COVID-19, the restrictions will be minimal, but masks will still have to be worn. In addition, evening entertainment will allow.
A document on the full course of vaccination, on the transferred disease or a negative test for COVID-19, will need to be presented at the stage of purchasing tickets for the lift.
The same rules are planned to apply to Christmas markets.
According to the governor of the province of Tyrol Gunther Platter, many hotels are already booked in local hotels for skiing. He also pointed out that due to mass vaccination, the work of ski resorts has become possible.
It is worth noting that last year the ski season in Austria did not start. Locals have been able to ski since December 24, but at the beginning of the season, all entertainment venues were closed. In addition, foreign tourists from risk areas had to undergo 10 days of self-isolation, which certainly did not improve recreation.
