Several hundred foreign guests, heads of state and government, ministers and diplomats, and military leaders of the partner countries visited Ukraine to celebrate the 30th anniversary of independence. Ukraine has not previously received such a large number of foreign guests at the same time. This was stated in the film “30 years of independence. Behind the scenes”, posted on the official Facebook page of the President’s Office, OP Chairman Andriy Yermak.

“An unprecedented number,” he said. “There have never been so many world leaders in Ukraine, Kyiv in such a short period of time – presidents, prime ministers, speakers, foreign ministers. This is very important. And every time these people come to us, they see change. “
According to Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, the celebration of the 30th anniversary of independence was of special significance for Ukraine, as for the first time since the times of Kievan Rus, Ukraine has been an independent state for so long. This, among other things, was the reason for so much attention from foreign partners.
“All these visits, on the eve of Independence Day, on Independence Day, it was all about one thing – the authority of Ukraine in the international arena,” said the Minister.
The mass events with the participation of foreign delegations on Independence Day, which are described in the film “30 years of independence. Behind the scenes”, were numerous and often unique. In particular, the Crimean Platform and the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen were held for the first time.
“When I look back on this path and remember the first reactions of the partners, then how this reaction changed – starting with skepticism and ending with full support – then, of course, I am proud of Ukraine,” Kuleba shared his impressions of the Crimean Platform.
The First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, in turn, speaking about the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, noted the great attention of foreign colleagues also to this unique event.
“When I first started these conversations with my colleagues from abroad, when I shared this idea, there were two main vivid reactions. The first reaction was – why did we not come up with this idea first. And the second reaction – they will not come out “.
“I am especially pleased that the people who came to the First Lady Summit then shared their impressions that in principle they did not expect that Ukraine could hold such a cool event from scratch,” Dmytro Kuleba added.
As Kyrylo Tymoshenko, the deputy head of the OP, said in the film, President Volodymyr Zelensky set the task of preparing a special program of festive events a year before the 30th anniversary of Independence.
