Nutrition experts from the Harvard School of Public Health have included pork in the “black list” of banned products.

Yes, experts conducted a 16-year study. In total, 81,469 people took part in the experiment. These were employees of medical institutions who were surveyed about diet, bad habits, and sports every four years.
The researchers used the information for the first eight years to get an idea of ??the participants’ eating habits, and for the second eight years to understand how a particular diet affected the health of the participants in the experiment.
As a result, experts have concluded that replacing a daily portion of red meat with healthier food reduces the risk of death by an average of 17%. At the same time, even half a serving of beef or pork a day increases mortality by 10%.
The researchers also noted the importance of red meat in favor of nuts and fish – it reduces the risk of death by 18% and 16% respectively.
The effect of replacing steak with legume dishes was much less significant – only 6%.
Eating other vegetables, eggs, dairy products, and poultry (without skin) instead of meat reduced mortality by 8-12%.
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine recommends limiting the consumption of red meat to 500 grams per week. The World Health Organization, meanwhile, reports data linking red meat consumption to the development of colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, and prostate cancer. In many countries around the world, health authorities recommend limiting the consumption of meat products and red meat, as they are associated with an increased risk of death from heart disease, diabetes, and other diseases.
