In Ukraine, 2.49 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have been recorded, an increase over the day on October 6 – more than 15 thousand, a new anti-record this fall, such a figure has not been since the end of April. More than 3.5 thousand people were hospitalized per day, which is slightly less than the day before. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

“As of October 6, 2021, 15,125 new confirmed cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have been recorded in Ukraine,” the Ministry of Health said.
The number of patients is almost 20% or almost 2.5 thousand more than the day before. Today’s figure is an anti-record since the beginning of autumn, and the second day in a row.
Also for the past day:
3,541 people were hospitalized;
fatalities – 314;
4,380 people recovered.
tested: by PCR – 53,031 people, by ELISA – 9,964 people, by rapid tests – 50,082 people.
During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:
fell ill – 2,497,643 people;
recovered – 2,277,762 people;
fatalities – 57,840;
PCR tests were performed – 13,111,389.
Of the patients for the past day: children – 1,421, health workers – 341.
Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kharkiv (1168), Lviv (1130), Odesa (1059), Dnipropetrovsk (1042), and Donetsk (985) oblasts.
According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 19th in distribution and 19th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
