Facebook Inc. in recent days has slowed the release of new products amid reports in the media and hearings in the US Congress on a number of internal documents showing the harm of this social platform.

The report says that the leaders of the company, which deals with social networks, have also suspended some work on existing products.
Last week, Facebook said it was suspending the children’s version of its Instagram kids photo-sharing app amid growing opposition from US lawmakers and human rights groups, citing security concerns.
Facebook has come under fire in recent weeks after Francis Haugen, a Facebook manager, said she was an informant who provided documents to the Wall Street Journal.
In addition, a six-hour shutdown occurred on Monday due to a “misconfiguration” that prevented 3.5 billion users from accessing their social networks and messaging services, such as WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger.
Facebook shares lost about 3% this week.
