On Monday, October 11, two 17-year-old boys were arrested in the city. Police did not comment on the motives of those accused of killing the animals.
The teenagers were charged with reckless beating and killing animals. They are reported to be on trial next month.
Under New South Wales law, anyone who faces animal cruelty faces up to five years in prison and a fine of A $ 22,000 ($ 15,000).
