In Ukraine, 2.57 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase of 24.3 thousand per day on October 12, only slightly less than the autumn anti-record set last week. At the same time, 4.9 thousand people were hospitalized per day, more than doubling against the figure the day before. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

“As of October 12, 2021, 16,309 new confirmed cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have been recorded in Ukraine,” the Ministry of Health said.
Also for the past day:
4,901 people were hospitalized;
fatalities – 471;
recovered – 6,462 people.
During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:
fell ill – 2,578,394 people;
recovered – 2,304,361 people;
fatalities – 59,523;
PCR tests were performed – 13,379,666.
Of the patients for the past day: children – 1,588, health workers – 288.
Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kharkiv (1526), Odesa (1525), Dnipropetrovsk (1344), Zaporizhia (1048) oblasts, and in the city of Kyiv (978).
According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 19th in distribution and 19th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
