US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin is preparing to visit Ukraine for the first time – the visit will take place as part of his upcoming European tour.

“The minister and his team will be preparing for a trip to Europe next week,” Kirby said.
In addition to Ukraine, the US Secretary of State will visit Georgia and Romania, and his tour will end with talks with allies and partners at a meeting of NATO defense ministers on October 21-22 in Brussels.
When exactly Austin will arrive in Ukraine, his ministry did not specify, as well as the issue that he is going to discuss with the leadership of our country. It is also unknown with whom he is scheduled to meet.
It will be recalled that during President Volodymyr Zelensky’s working visit to Washington in September, he held talks with Lloyd Austin, who promised him a visit to Ukraine.
He will be the second high-ranking representative of Joe Biden’s Cabinet to visit Ukraine – in May, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken visited our country.
