The administration of the social network of professional contacts LinkedIn has decided to suspend the localized version of the platform in China due to the new regulatory requirements of the Chinese authorities for Internet resources. The relevant statement was published on Thursday in the official blog of the social network.

“We face a much more complex operating environment and heightened regulatory requirements in China. With this in mind, we decided at the end of this year to close the current localized version of LinkedIn, through which people in China gain access to the global platform, “- said in a statement.
LinkedIn added that the new social network strategy will focus on helping Chinese professionals find work in China and local companies in finding qualified candidates.
“Later this year, we will launch in jobs, a new standalone job search application in China,” said the platform’s administration. As noted, the announced program does not provide for the possibility of disseminating publications and does not perform the functions of a social network.
