On Tuesday, November 9, from 10:00 to 11:00, the traditional, already 21st, All-Ukrainian radio dictation of national unity will be held in Ukraine. This year it will be read and written live by writer Yuriy Andrukhovych.

Dmytro Khorkin, a member of the board of the National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine, announced this on Ukrainian Radio.
The organizers promise to announce the topic of radio dictation in a week. Larysa Masenko, a professor at the Ukrainian Language Department of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and a leading researcher at the Institute of the Ukrainian Language of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, will become the project’s scientific consultant for the second time.
According to Dmitry Khorkin, key figures of the state – the president, people’s deputies, ministers, the prime minister, and cultural figures – will be invited to write.
“The radio dictation of national unity for the last 2 years is the number one request in the Ukrainian segment of Google. We went beyond schooling without getting rid of it. But, at the same time, it is nice that it became an all-Ukrainian action, ”he said.
The dictation will be broadcast live on Ukrainian Radio, Kultura Radio, UA: Pershiy TV channel, and other Public Broadcasting platforms.
Another feature of this year’s dictation will be a platform for public dialogue organized by Ukrainian Radio. During the week before the start, the radio hub will hold discussions on language issues – language legislation, language quotas on the air, etc.
It is worth noting that the national dictation will still be timed to the Day of Ukrainian Literature and Language. Yuri Andrukhovych was chosen for reading by radio listeners from among several contenders.

We were interested in why Transcarpathia for the 4th year in a row ranks last in terms of its results and whether it is related to the functioning of schools with instruction in the languages ?? of national minorities.
