In Ukraine, 2.644 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase over the day, October 17, – 9.5 thousand, which is less than the day before, but traditionally for the weekend. 3.1 thousand people were hospitalized per day, which is less than the day before. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

“As of October 17, 2021, 9,524 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have been recorded in Ukraine,” the Ministry of Health said.
Also for the past day:
3,127 people were hospitalized;
fatalities – 177;
recovered – 3,421 people.
During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:
fell ill – 2,644,694 people;
2,329,418 people recovered;
fatalities – 60,810;
PCR tests were performed – 13,581,768.
Of the patients for the past day: children – 790, health workers – 122.
Over the past 24hrs, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Odesa (1367), Kharkiv (823), Dnipropetrovsk (782), Zhytomyr (703), and Lviv (546) oblasts.
According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 19th in distribution and 19th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
