2.67 Million Cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine With 18,912 per Day

In Ukraine, 2.67 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase of 24,000 per day on October 19, a new anti-record since the beginning of autumn. Almost 5.5 thousand people were hospitalized per day, almost doubling the figure of the previous day. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

“During the past 24hrs, there have been recorded 18,912 new confirmed cases of coronavirus COVID-19 in Ukraine,” the Ministry of Health said.

Also for the past day:

5,468 people were hospitalized;

fatalities – 495;

7,605 people recovered.

During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:

fell ill – 2,679,185 people;

recovered – 2,344,799 people;

fatalities – 61,843;

PCR tests were performed – 13,709,705.

Of the patients for the past day: children – 1,447, health workers – 435.

Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Odesa (1606), Dnipropetrovsk (1253), Kharkiv (1242), Zaporizhia (1225), and Donetsk (1040) oblasts.

Kirovohrad region – 112 cases;

Luhansk region – 742 cases;

Lviv region – 943 cases;

Mykolaiv region – 437 cases;

Odessa region – 1606 cases;

Poltava region – 935 cases;

Rivne region – 782 cases;

Sumy region – 912 cases;

Ternopil region – 588 cases;

Kharkiv region – 1242 cases;

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk oblasts, and the city of Sevastopol are missing.

According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 19th in distribution and 19th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.
