2.7 Million Cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine With 22,415 per Day

In Ukraine, 2.7 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase over the day on October 20 – almost 22.5 thousand, a new anti-record since the beginning of the pandemic. Almost 4.9 thousand people were hospitalized per day, which is less than the previous day. Fatal cases per day – a record 546. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

“During the past 24hrs, there have been recorded 22,415 new confirmed cases of coronavirus COVID-19 in Ukraine,” the Ministry of Health said.

Also for the past day:

4,892 people were hospitalized;

fatalities – 546;

8,036 people recovered.

During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:

fell ill – 2,701,600 people;

recovered – 2,352,835 people;

fatalities – 62,389;

PCR tests were performed – 13,781,546.

Of the patients for the past day: children – 1,771, health workers – 345.

Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Zhytomyr (1562), Odesa (1528), Lviv (1388), Zaporizhia (1355), and Kharkiv (1319) oblasts.
