Kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate. October 24,2021- The flow of people who crossed the line of demarcation along the humanitarian corridor through the Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint was almost halved in a week as a result of the blockade imposed by the occupiers.
The occupation administration significantly limits the flow of passengers, especially towards the territories controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. Almost 3,000 people passed through this corridor in a week, while in the previous week – almost 6,000. The statement said that 2,330 people passed through the occupied territories of Ukraine, and 633 people crossed the controlled area.
The Ukrainian authorities also guaranteed the daily work of all CPVRs on the demarcation line from 08.00 to 16.00. However, traffic on most lanes of humanitarian roads is obstructed by the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. “Stanytsia Luhanska” is the only one of the seven open CPVVs, in front of which the occupiers allow people to pass every day.
Opponents of the Novotroitskoye Checkpoint closed traffic on Mondays and Fridays. 418 people and 83 vehicles crossed the demarcation line at this checkpoint in the temporarily occupied part of the Donetsk region. At the same time, 315 people and 66 vehicles entered the area controlled by the Ukrainian authorities.
Eight trucks carrying humanitarian aid from the International Committee of the Red Cross passed through the Novotroitskoye checkpoint within a week, and more than 91 tons of food kits and medical equipment were delivered to the residents of the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territory.
CPVR is also subject to quarantine restrictions. Thus, citizens of Ukraine who are subject to self-isolation, who move to the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, are obliged to install and activate the “Home” application. If it is impossible to install mobile applications, they are monitored. And foreigners when crossing the contact line, in addition, must have an insurance policy.
Self-isolation will stop if a negative COVID-19 test result is obtained by PCR or the rapid test performed after crossing CPVV.
