Kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate-October 25,2021- Global Affairs Canada has rescinded its recommendation to refrain from traveling to Ukraine.
Instead of the previous blanket recommendation not to travel to Ukraine, Canadians are now advised to “exercise a high degree of caution” when traveling to Ukraine. At the same time, citizens of Canada are still urged to avoid travel to Crimea, non-government-controlled areas and adjacent areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as to avoid non-essential travel to government-controlled areas of Donetsk and Luhansk.
Whereas, Global Affairs Canada’s recommendations are not binding on ordinary Canadians but affect insurance and other services.
Global Affairs Canada has advised citizens of Canada to refrain from traveling abroad since last March, but this week they began to relax its recommendations.
