Counterfeit drugs sold for cancer patients:

Five people who made and sold counterfeit drugs for cancer patients in Ukraine and abroad face up to life in prison.

Details The criminal organization consisted of five people: two organizers from Ukraine and three perpetrators, two of them foreigners who had the necessary connections to distribute counterfeit drugs in other countries.

Part 3 of Art. 321-1 (Falsification of medicines or circulation of falsified medicines). They face up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment with confiscation of property the investigation , for three years the group counterfeited drugs for cancer patients of well-known European brands. The underground warehouse was in Kyiv. One pack of drugs cost 1,500$ counterfiet drugs were smuggled into the United States , Malaysia, India and Israel.

The money from the sale was used to buy luxury real estate and cars. During searches at the place of criminal activity and the place of residence of its participants, the following were seized : equipment, containers , records with “rough” accounting , counterfeit medicines worth over 15 million hryvnias, as well as 8 million hryvnias they received from illegal activities.
