Kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate –October 30,2021- Implementing energy efficiency measures in the utilities sector could save up to $1.5 billion annually, Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denis Shmyal said.
“According to the Ministry of Economy, we can save up to $1.5 billion annually just by implementing energy-efficiency and energy-saving measures in the utility sector,” he also said at a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities in Odessa.
It is also possible to reduce heat loss in networks, indoors. Shmihal believes that these issues should be discussed as soon as possible after which the authorities will start preparing to implement energy efficiency projects next summer.
As reported, the government is working on an energy efficiency program that aims to upgrade at least 5,000 apartment buildings next year.
