Kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate – October 31,2021- Deputies to the Deputies Rada of 2 electoral districts, 3 other cities, 2 settlements and 5 village mayors of Ukraine, are elected on October 31. Elections for local council representatives are also held in some areas.
Voting will also take place in all planned areas, regardless of the quarantine area in the area, and voters must bring masks, sanitizers and a pen.
The by-elections to the Verkhovna Rada will be held in constituencies №184 in the Kherson states and №197 in the Cherkassy Territory, the reason for this is that Igor Kulikhayev, who was a people’s deputy from the 1st district, became mayor of Kherson, and Oleksandr Skechko became head of the regional state administration in Cherkassy.
- The CEC registered 45 candidates, but later canceled the registration of 5 candidates. Thus, the following persons are running for the position of People’s Deputy:
- 15 candidates in the district №184;
- 25 candidates in the district №197.
In addition to Kharkiv, the mayor is now elected by residents of Lipovets in the Vinnytsia region, Terebovlia in the Ternopil region and Komarno in the Lviv region.
Also in Ukraine, chairmen of local councils are elected, in particular:
- Kelmenets village council (Dniester district, Chernivtsi region);
- Smotrytsia village council (Kamianets-Podilskyi district, Khmelnytsky region);
- Ulanivka village council (Khmilnytskyi district, Vinnytsia region);
- Kolarivka village council (Berdyansk district, Zaporizhia region);
- Shehynivka village council (Yavoriv district, Lviv region);
- Nadlatska village council (Golovanivskyi district; Kirovohrad region);
- Malobashanivka village council (Rivne district, Rivne region).
All polling stations have a separate voting booth for those who feel unwell.
