Kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate – October 31,2021- A national study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows that mRNA vaccines against COVID-19 much better protect against immunity after disease transmission.
Researchers from the VISION CDC network collected data on more than 201,000 hospitalizations in 9 states. About 7,000 patients met the study criteria.
The study team also analyzed the number of unvaccinated people who tested positive for COVID-19 more than 3 months before hospitalization with the disease, as well as the number of people who became ill and were hospitalized immediately upon vaccination with the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines.
The researchers found that unvaccinated people were about five times more likely to be hospitalized with the coronavirus.
These data are convincing evidence that vaccination provides better protection against COVID-19 than natural immunity.
This again indicates that patients also need to be vaccinated against the coronavirus.
The difference is particularly noticeable in the age group over 65 years.
Very important data have been obtained for the elderly. Thus, the analysis showed that vaccinated people over the age of 65 were 20 times less likely to be hospitalized than unvaccinated people in this age group.
