Kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate – November 2,2021-The Pentagon is closely monitoring the situation amid reports of a new reinforcement of Russian forces on the border with Ukraine, according to Pentagon spokesman John Kirby.
“We are aware of public reports of unusual Russian military activity near Ukraine, and will continue to consult with allies and partners on this issue. As we have said before, any escalatory or aggressive actions would be of great concern to the United States.”
The Washington Post said earlier that the United States and the European Union are recording a new increase in Russian forces near the Ukrainian border.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine denied any further transfer of Russian units, weapons and military equipment to the state border with Ukraine, and described reports about the redeployment of forces as an element of psychological information and actions.
