The incident occurred on October 29 in a club in the Panamanian city of Santa Ana.
A shooting took place between the two gangs during a costume party. According to police, one of the participants in the party shot at people from the group “Los Galacticos”. They returned fire.
Five people were shot dead and seven were injured. Three more bodies were found at a nearby landfill.
The man who started the shooting died on the spot. Four more died at the hospital. Police detained two people, including the brother of one of those killed. He was found with a firearm.
