Kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate – November 6,2021- SFS 6 officers conducted searches in Kryvyi Rih and Dnipro as part of a pre-trial investigation into criminal proceedings.
It should be noted that law enforcement officers accused the former officials of the Kryvyi Rih city council of negligence, improper performance of official duties, causing serious damage to state or public interests. It is a question of misappropriation of funds from the budget to repair more than two hundred roads that have not actually been implemented.
“Inspections are being carried out in the apartments of the former officials and in the premises of the Kryvyi Rih city council in order to obtain documented evidence of a criminal offence,” the statement said.
The tax authorities confiscate the accounting and tax documents and the bidding documents.
The violations relate to the period 2010-2020.
The officers of the SFS also established the facts of the embezzlement of hundreds of millions of hryvnia from budget funds by officials of the Kryvyi Rih city council, along with controlled contractors.
SFS investigators reported two suspected members of the group of persons created – the director of the structural unit of the executive committee of the Kryvyi Rih city council and the director of the contractor company – on suspicion of illegal acts related to the theft of funds from the Kryvyi Rih city budget in 2019-2020.
These people are reasonably suspected of the systematic embezzlement of budget funds for the alleged repair of more than two hundred roads around the city, which has not actually been implemented, as well as the systematic forgery of documents on clearing the roads of Kryvyi Rih from snow, including on the days when there was no Rainfall.
Investigation is underway.
