Kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate – November 6,2021- Investigative journalist Alyona Briza was attacked by an unknown person, who linked him to her professional activity in Khmelnytskyi.
The accident occurred by chance, probably planned, on November 3, on the eve of the anniversary of the death of Katerina Gandziuk. The journalist died in Kherson of burns from sulfuric acid that was poured on her. The liquid was also poured on Alona Bereza. Fortunately, in this case it passed without burns and injuries.
The event gained great publicity and once again raised the question of how safe it is to be a journalist in Ukraine. Despite the declaration of freedom of expression, periodic reports of threats, intimidation or physical violence against journalists appear in the media space.
