According to the OGTSU, in October 2021, the transit of natural gas by the Ukrainian GTS to European countries amounted to 2.634 billion cubic meters. m, less than in September by 623 million cubic meters. m.
At the same time, transit volumes to Slovakia increased by 6% to 2.117 billion cubic meters. m compared to September 2021. Gas supplies to Slovakia accounted for 80% of total transit volumes.
OGTSU also transported 342 million cubic meters. m of gas to Poland (+ 3% compared to September) and 176 million cubic meters. m (-9%) to Moldova. All transit gas supplies from Russia to European countries did not exceed the booked annual capacity, the OGTSU said.
“As a result of booking the capacity of the Ukrainian GTS on the RBP and GSA platforms, as of October 2021, Gazprom not only did not reserve additional transit capacity, but also significantly reduced the use of reserved annual capacity. Applications for transit of Russian gas to Hungary have not been received since October 1, ”the company said.
