Today, this salad is a favorite of all and is on the menus of many restaurants.
Ingredients:
250 g of feta
3 tomatoes
2 cucumbers
1 pod of bell pepper
1 red onion
100 g pitted olives
3-4 tablespoons of olive oil
wine vinegar
dried oregano
salt
Preparation
Peel a bell pepper and seeds and cut into wide strips. Chop the onion into half rings. Tomatoes cut into slices, and peeled cucumbers – slices about 1 cm thick.
Put the prepared vegetables in a salad bowl, add a little salt, put olives on top, pour olive oil and sprinkle with wine vinegar.
Spread the diced feta on top of the salad and sprinkle with dried oregano.
On a side note
Buy vegetables at the market. Homemade tomatoes are much more fragrant, which determines the taste of the dish.
To make the salad look bright and presentable, choose red tomatoes and yellow bell peppers.
Cucumbers for Greek salad are usually peeled.
Avoid fine slicing, for Greek salad vegetables and feta are cut quite large.
In Greece, this salad is not mixed, and feta is spread on top in one piece.
