Vereshchuk reminded that in 2018, pension payments for previous periods were suspended.

“Today, the Government adopted a resolution that will unblock the process of repayment of pension debts to internally displaced persons in the past. From next year, the Government will gradually start paying unpaid pensions based on the monthly subsistence level. We hope to repay the debt in full in two years, ”she wrote.
Iryna Vereshchuk also stressed that this is a very important step, as it involves hundreds of thousands of retirees.
“It is expected that more than 11.2 billion hryvnias will be spent from the state budget to repay pension debts to internally displaced persons, of which 6.2 billion hryvnias will be spent next year. Thanks to Prime Minister Denis Shmygal and Minister of Social Policy Marina Lazebna. I thank President Zelensky for the political support of this initiative of the Government, ”she concluded.
