Kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate – November 11,2021- Locals population noticed an unusual spherical algae in the Zaporozhye region along the coast of the Azov Sea.
“A spherical cladophor was seen on the bank of the Kirilivka. Surprisingly, this algae was first discovered in Kirilivka. Everything passes, everything changes. “
In a comment to the agency’s correspondent, Tetyana Yarova, a junior researcher at the Priazovsky National Nature Park, noted that the green balls along the coast are spherical cladophores – a natural biofilter.
“This is algae, the same genus that was already in the Sea of Azov two years ago. Algae is alive, inside there are threads that form a framework and as a result form such a shape. This alga is non-toxic. It loves cooler water and is one of the algae of the Black Sea, ”Yarova said.
The balls can be of different sizes, it all depends on the state of the environment in which they are. The Azov National Nature Park does not rule out that these green balls will be on the beach not only in autumn and winter, but also in summer. However, this issue remains to be explored.
