Kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate – November 11,2021- The Czech government, led by Prime Minister Andrej Babis, resigns.
“We acknowledge that the five-party coalition, which includes 108 deputies, has won,” Babis said after the meeting.
Then, the resignation of the government must be accepted by the president, who must also appoint a new prime minister. The Babisha government will act temporarily until a new government is appointed.
According to the Constitution of the Czech Republic, the current government must resign after the election of the new leadership of the Chamber of Deputies.
As reported, in the evening of November 10, Mark Pekarov Adamov, the leader of the TOP 09 party, was elected chairman of the lower house of the Czech parliament – the Chamber of Deputies.
This party is part of a coalition of 5 political forces (ODS, KDU-ČSL, TOP 09, STAN and Piraty), which formed a parliamentary majority and are now working to form a government. It is to be headed by ODS leader Petr Fiala, who has already been instructed to do so by President Milos Zeman.
Babish has previously abandoned plans to fight for the right to form his own government because no party wants to form a coalition with him. A new government in the Czech Republic may appear in a few weeks .
