The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities (NKREKP) has introduced restrictions for market participants on the maximum sales of electricity in the market “for the day ahead” (RDN) .

The decision was made at a meeting on November 12 by the National Commission for Regulation of Economic c.
According to the draft, the regulator’s website stipulates, in particular, for each market participant, except for producers and the Guaranteed Buyer, that the maximum sales volume in the UES of Ukraine trade zone on RDN and VDR is calculated as the difference between purchase and import volumes and sales and export volumes. for DD, registered as of 10:00 one day before the trading day (d-1) “.
The resolution was adopted in the updated version of Ukrenergo, which proposed to add “DD” after the word “purchase”.
In the justification to the draft resolution, the regulator explains the need to adopt the document “in order to stabilize the situation on the electricity market, in particular, in terms of creating preconditions for eliminating cyclical schemes of resale of electricity with questionable origin in different market segments.” It is also mentioned that at present the volumes of fuel reserves for certain types of power plants do not correspond to the volumes approved by the Ministry of Energy.

On November 10, it was reported that in Ukraine, there were 310.4 thousand tons less coal in warehouses than was critically needed: a total of 447.9 thousand tons of coal. And that 62 power units at TPPs did not work at all. 25 of them – due to lack of fuel.
Earlier, Russia refused to export coal to Ukraine, which is used at thermal power plants to produce electricity.
Against this background, Ukraine has resumed electricity imports from Belarus. The opportunity to import electricity from Russia and Belarus appeared on November 1, after several months of bans and litigation.
