“The tenth person has been detained, so the number of detainees is increasing, not decreasing,” said UN Under-Secretary-General Farhan Haq.
According to him, the Ethiopian authorities also detained more than 70 local drivers who worked for the UN.
It is reported that all the detained drivers were delivering humanitarian aid to the Tigray region, where riots have been going on for a year.
“We continue to make efforts. We are pushing through all available doors, but we have not yet been able to make the desired progress. Of course, this also delays the delivery of rubber aid, ”said the deputy spokesman.
