Kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate – November 13,2021- As of January 2023, all building materials manufactured in Ukraine must comply with European standards.
After the entry into force of the Law of Ukraine “On Supplying Building Products on the Market” in January 2023, all domestic building products must meet European requirements for quality and safety.
It should be noted that the requirements of the law relate to the manufacture of products, their evaluation, verification of the stability of their indicators, their declaration and market monitoring.
The Ministry of Regional Development has drawn up a number of bylaws for the implementation of EU Regulation No. 305 in Ukrainian legislation, which is due to be approved by the end of the year. In particular, we are talking about the draft Resolution “Some Questions Regarding the Presentation of Building Products on the Market” and the lists of national standards corresponding to the relevant harmonized European standards.
In addition, a number of scientific and technical documents are being developed, which will further allow the implementation of “national mandates”. The latter will be the basis for the development of national standards and documents for the assessment of acceptability of products for which there are no relevant European documents.
In April, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a list of categories of construction products for which eligibility documents can be developed for further placement on the market.
In September 2020, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the Law of Ukraine “On the provision of construction products on the market”, which implements into national law the provisions of Regulation (EC) № 305/2011 on the establishment of harmonized conditions for placing on the market of construction products. The law was signed by the President on September 30, 2020.
