Kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate – November 14,2021- The Ukrainian women’s basketball team will hold the second qualifier for the 2023 European Championships on Sunday, 14 November.
The blue and yellow teams will meet the Finnish team at 5 pm in Helsinki.
In another qualifier for Group B bronze medalist at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, France will host the Lithuanian team.
As reported, at the start of the qualification, the Ukrainians defeated the French in the Palace of Sports in Kyiv (90:71), and the Lithuanians in the city of Kedainiai defeated the basketball players of Finland (69:59).
The national team of Ukraine will also play the next two away matches: on November 24 – in Lithuania, on November 27 – in France.
According to the rules, the winners of the ten qualifying groups and the four best teams from among those who will take second place in the groups will receive direct tickets to the finals of the European Championship. Two more national teams – Slovenia and Israel – have already secured a place at Euro 2023 as hosts of the decisive stage.
