SkyUp starts selling tickets through the SmartTicket app
The Ministry of Infrastructure has started testing ticket sales of the Ukrainian airline SkyUp Airlines through the single electronic ticket service SmartTicket and plans to fully launch such an opportunity in December.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure with reference to the head of the department Vladislav Krikliy.
“Currently, the SmartTicket service has started testing the sale of SkyUp airline tickets, and approximately in December we plan to launch it into full-fledged work,” the press service quoted the minister as saying.
The press service reminded that the pilot project of digitalization and cybersecurity of the Ministry of Infrastructure with the participation of Ukrzaliznytsia joint-stock company is engaged in a pilot project to introduce a single e-ticket on transport.
“SmartTicket is sold on the transport portal of electronic services e-transport.gov.ua and on SmartTicket.gov.ua. The electronic ticket is read using a QR-code on the controller’s mobile device,” the statement said.
It is noted that in the future the passenger will be able to buy SmartTicket for 4 modes of transport (plane, bus, subway and train).

• On September 22, the Ministry of Infrastructure launched a pilot project in Ukraine to introduce a single electronic ticket for different modes of transport SmartTicket.
• At the first stage, this ticket will be available for long-distance and public transport trains in Kyiv.
• Further integration of SmartTicket and the mobile application for digitized documents “Action” is planned.
