Kyiv.Ukraine.Ukraine Gate – November 17,2021- The Ministry of Infrastructure has reached an agreement with the German authorities to issue an additional 8000 permits to Ukrainian transport companies for 2022.
“Ukrainian transport companies will receive additional permits from Germany next year. The relevant agreement was reached by the Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure and the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure of Germany,” the statement said.
In particular, Ukrainian carriers will receive:
2,000 universal permits of the Euro-4 category;
2,000 universal permits of the Euro-5 category;
4,000 universal permits of the Euro-6 category.
This result is an example of productive cooperation between the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the press service of the agency said.
The main quota of permits issued by Germany to Ukraine for 2021 is 90 thousand.
As reported, in January-July this year, exports of goods from Ukraine to Germany reached 565 thousand tons worth 993.3 million euros. This is 14% more than in January-July 2019, when the last meeting of the Ukrainian-German Joint Commission on International Road Transport took place.
There is also a significant increase in trade with other countries for which the territory of Germany is in transit, in particular, the increase in trade in these areas is about 11%.
According to the State Statistics Service, in January-September 2021, exports to EU countries amounted to 19.43 billion dollars. (54.2% more than in the same period last year), and its share in total Ukrainian exports reached 40.2%.
