The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia announced the death of six Armenian servicemen during the clashes with the armed forces of Azerbaijan on November 16 .

“During the fighting on November 16, which unfolded as a result of an attack by units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces on the Armenian side, six people have been killed so far,” the ministry said.

As of 10 a.m. on November 19, the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border is reportedly stable and controlled by the Armenian Armed Forces.
Resumption of fighting and new casualties
After hostilities resumed on November 16 on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the parties accused each other of provocations. 7 dead and 10 wounded were reported in Baku. And the Ministry of Defense of Armenia stated the victims and that “12 Armenian servicemen were taken prisoner.”
European Council President Charles Michel held telephone talks with the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia and called on both countries to urgently de-escalate and complete a ceasefire at the border.
As a result, both sides in the conflict agreed to a ceasefire. The agreement was reached with the mediation of Russia, stressed the Ministry of Defense in Yerevan. The Russian Defense Ministry, in turn, confirmed that hostilities have ceased, the situation has returned to normal and is under control.
