Police have opened more than a thousand proceedings for violations in local elections in Ukraine
In Ukraine, since the beginning of the election campaign, police have opened 1,154 criminal proceedings for violations of election law.
According to the website of the National Police, in the period from September 5 to November 21, a total of 16,664 applications and reports of violations of election law were received.
In total, the police drew up 2,480 reports on the commission of administrative offenses related to violations of election law.
The Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations contains information on 1,154 criminal proceedings: 737 opened on the facts of violation of election legislation, 417 – related to the election process.
Elections 2020
Local elections in Ukraine took place on October 25.
On November 15, the second rounds of elections of chairmen of village, settlement and city councils took place in many settlements. The second round of voting will also take place on November 22.
