Two cars were involved in an accident in Vinnytsia Region, killing a court employee and injuring three others. They were hospitalized, among the victims was pregnant. This was reported by UNN with reference to the communication department of the GUNP in Vinnytsia region.
On November 20, two VAZ 212 and a Volkswagen Caddy collided on the Khmilnyk-Nova-Ushytsia highway. As a result of the accident, a 27-year-old VAZ driver, an employee of the district court, died at the scene. Three passengers from both cars were hospitalized in the district hospital, among them a pregnant woman. A pre-trial investigation has been launched,” the statement said.
It is noted that the accident occurred at about 9:20 p.m. near the village of Luka Barska, Barsky District.
According to preliminary investigation, the 27-year-old driver of a VAZ 2112 drove into the oncoming lane, where she collided with a Volkswagen Caddy.
Thus, as a result of the accident, two passengers of VAZ were injured to varying degrees: a 23-year-old employee of the bar court and a 45-year-old employee of the district prosecutor’s office, as well as a pregnant 28-year-old passenger of a foreign car. All of them were hospitalized by ambulance. The driver of “VAZ” died at the scene from injuries.
The driver of the Volkswagen Caddy was inspected. He is sober. Vehicles are placed on the arrest site.
Priority investigative actions were carried out at the site of the accident. The final circumstances and causes of the accident will be established after a series of examinations.
The Investigative Department of the Police opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 286 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety rules which caused death of the victim). Such an offense is punishable by up to 8 years in prison.
We will remind, in the Chernivtsi region as a result of collision of three vehicles three people, among them – the half-year-old child were injured.
