Kefir dumplings with cherries are very soft, tender and tasty. Both fresh and frozen berries are suitable for them.
From cherries you need to remove the stones, and then put in a sieve to drain excess liquid. And so that the juice does not flow out of the dumplings during cooking, add a little starch to the berries.

Ingredients:
1 cup yogurt
2.5 cups flour + 0.5 cups for filling
0.25 tsp salt
0.25 tsp soda

Method of cooking:
Sift flour together with salt and soda in a bowl. Make a deepening and gradually pour in the yogurt.
Knead a soft dough, adding more flour if necessary. Cover it with a towel and leave to rest for 20 minutes.
Wash the cherries, remove the stones.
On a floured table, roll out the dough into a layer 0.5-0.7 cm thick and cut out circles with a glass.
Pour a little sugar on each circle, put the cherries and sprinkle with sugar again. Pinch the edges.
Cook dumplings under the lid on a special steamer-grill, installed over a pan of boiling water. The cooking process takes 7-8 minutes.
How to serve dumplings
Drain the water, place the dumplings with cherries in a bowl and add a piece of butter. Serve with sour cream and sugar.
