On the Day of Dignity and Freedom, a basket of flowers was erected on behalf of President Volodymyr Zelensky under the memorial cross, where Maidan activists were killed during the Revolution of Dignity. Thus, Zelensky honored the memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, while being in isolation due to coronavirus infection. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Office of the President of Ukraine.
“On the Day of Dignity and Freedom, November 21, the memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred was honored on behalf of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky,” the President’s Office said.
So, on the Alley of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred in the city of Kiev the basket of flowers to a memorial cross on a place of death of activists of the Maidan was established.
“During the 29 years of Ukraine’s independence, a number of revolutions took place: Ukrainians defended the European vector of development, protection of democratic values, human rights and freedoms, as well as achieving a decent standard of living and work for citizens. Only a nation that truly values freedom and dignity is invincible. We must summarize and rethink the moral experience of different generations of Ukrainians who fought for democratic values, rights and freedoms, “Zelensky said.
It will be recalled that today, November 21, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Dignity and Freedom – the day of the beginning of events that became historic for Ukraine: the Orange Revolution of 2004 and the Revolution of Dignity of 2013.
