“The CDC is working to change the current testing order for travelers as we learn more about the Omicron option; the revised order will reduce mandatory testing time for all passengers from abroad to one day before departure,” he said. a representative of the CDC, whose statement was quoted by the American media.
“This reinforces the already reliable protocols for international travel, including the requirements for full vaccination of travelers from abroad,” a CDC spokesman said.
Currently, the CDC, according to CNN, requires that fully vaccinated travelers undergo testing three days before the departure of their flight from another country.
The CDC still recommends, but does not require, travelers to be tested three to five days after returning, and those who have not been vaccinated should be quarantined.
