“I am well aware that all countries seek to protect their citizens from an option that we have not yet fully explored,” Hebrews said.
The head of the WHO said he was concerned that several states were “introducing rough, general, non-factual measures that are ineffective and only exacerbate inequality.”
According to Tedros, questions about the severity of the new strain and the effectiveness of vaccines are still more than answers.
