It is noted that the student received minor injuries. The victim said that he ran out of the classroom when he saw an animal there.
Eventually the leopard was put to sleep and caught. They tried to do it for 11 hours.
It is reported that the leopard could have entered the school from a nearby forest.
According to the BBC, such situations have recently become widespread in India. Due to changing climatic conditions, leopards are forced to look for food in villages and towns.
Environmental protection officers were called to the scene. They injected the animal with sleeping pills and took it to the forest.
