On the night of Tuesday, December 14, Ukrainians will be able to observe the peak of the Geminid meteor shower. According to the press service of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, about 100 meteors will fly every hour .

“December 14, 2021 will be the peak of the Geminid meteor shower, the radiance of which is located near the star Castor in the constellation Gemini. It is best to observe this phenomenon at about 3:00, when the moon is already setting, ”said Ivan Kryachko, Acting Head of the Laboratory of Methodological and Information Support of Education and Science of the Astronomical Main Astronomical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
